Since then, the foundation has been housed in temporary quarterswhile the plan for a new permanent home has moved forward. Thebuilding site is on Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti Township.

The campaign goal is $500,000, which will cover less than halfof the projected cost of the new facility. Foundation reserves andgrant monies will make up the balance of the costs. Constructionhas begun and the foundation expects to take occupancy in thefall.

The new building will house the foundation's operations andserve as a central location for the hemophilia and bleedingdisorders community. Historical archives of the foundation will berestored and incorporated in the new facility. A permanent outdoormemorial will honor those who have lost their lives to hemophiliaand its complications, including HIV and Hepatitis C.
