The expansion will create 128 jobs over the next three years,increasing overall employment at the facility to 703. Gov. EdRendell's economic development action team supported the expansionand the state will provide $384,000 in job creation tax credits anda $250,000 opportunity grant.

In addition to its corporate headquarters and the distributioncenter, Dick's operates 23 stores in Pennsylvania and employsapproximately 2,400 in the state. Six of its stores are in thePhiladelphia region. "We look forward to growing our operationseven further," says Edward Stack, chairman and CEO.

In all, the company operates 169 full-line sporting goods storesin 27 states throughout the Eastern US. It went public in October2002 and trades as DKS on the NYSE.
