The deal with Crescent Potomac Yard Development LLC, developerof the 300-acre endeavor, will allow the EPA to consolidate underone roof its employees currently working from three differentspaces in the neighboring Crystal City submarket.

Potomac Yard is a gargantuan effort that will ultimately yield2.8 million sf of office space, 100,000 sf of retail space, 800residential units and a 625-room hotel. The EPA will be housed inall of Potomac Yard One and part of Potomac Yard Two, two 12-storyoffice buildings accounting for a total of approximately 600,000 sfof space. In addition to class A office space, the structures willeach feature first floor and ground-level retail space, as well asa six-level parking facility, three floors of which will beunderground.

"EPA requires that its office locations feature sustainabledesign and green building concepts, and both of these buildingswill earn a US Green Building Council LEED Silver rating," saysAnthony E. Costa, assistant regional administrator for the GSA'sNational Capital Region.
