Groundbreaking for the building, to be named in Taubman's honor,is planned for later this year. The three-story 38,000 sf centerwill cost $9.6 million and sit at the hub of Lawrence Tech's120-acre campus in Southfield.

"Just as Mr. Taubman redefined the shopping experience formillions of Americans through innovative merchandising and retaildesign, our new Student Services Center will redefine the studentexperience at Lawrence Tech," Chambers says.

Lawrence Tech will consolidate all services that supportstudents--from admissions through career services andplacement--now spread throughout the campus, into a one-stop centerplanned to strengthen the university's retention and serviceinitiatives.
