The firm already has about 12,000 sf of office space in thebuilding, but has leased the additional space on a short-term basisin order to conduct the numerous depositions needed for anEnron-related class action lawsuit, Chuck Goldstein, partner withthe local office of Cresa Partners tells GlobeSt.com.

According to Goldstein, the firm will move into the space aroundJune 1. While Goldstein handled negotiations for the tenant, ChuckKemp of the local office of ING Clarion Realty Services representedthe building owner, CP/SMRS LP in the deal. Asking rates for the53-story, 1.1-million-sf class A building hover slightly above $20per sf.

On April 8, 2002, Lerach filed a class action lawsuit againstEnron Corp. in the US District Court in Houston. The suit seeksrelief for purchasers of Enron publicly traded equity and debtsecurities between Oct. 19, 1998 and Nov. 27, 2001. Lerachspecializes in class action suits. The 125-lawyer firm also hasoffices in San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, DCand Philadelphia.
