The three-story restaurants will allow kids to go on dinosaurdigs and talk to paleontologists. Steven Schussler, the creator andfounder of Rainforest Café who has offices in Golden Valley, MN,calls it his latest "edutainment" concept. Rainforest Café alsomade its debut at Mall of America.

RED Development, which disclosed the planned openings last week,says at T-Rex "dinosaurs will come to life in extravaganttheatrical settings including geysers, waterfalls and ice caves."The restaurant will have an eclectic food menu and retail area withmore than 5,000 items.

Schussler plans to open T-Rex attractions in select, high-volumetourist locations throughout the world, with the first locationopening at Mall of America in May 2005 and the second locationopening at the Legends at the end of 2005. The Legend is a750,000-sf destination development situated in the heart of VillageWest, the new retail and entertainment district in Kansas City,KS.
