Garibaldi principal Peter D. Blanchard and associate vicepresident Michael McDonough, along with James P. Southey, a partnerof King Sturge, arranged the signing. Garibaldi handles Whatman'sreal estate requirements in the US, while King Sturge handles thecompany's requirements in Europe. Garibaldi and King Sturge areboth Corfac affiliates.

The deal is the fifth Garibaldi has done recently for Whatman.Totaling more than 200,000 sf, the assignments have included an84,000-sf industrial lease in Sanford, ME, a 32,000-sf officesublease in Ann Arbor, MI, a 25,000-sf sublease in Newton, MA and a55,000-sf industrial sale in Clifton, NJ.

Whatman, which is based in the UK, will utilize the space as anoperational headquarters. The company is organized into fourbusiness development units: analytical chemistry, diagnostics,genomics and proteomics and medical devices.
