Gov. Bill Owens also is scheduled to attend, along with RobertA. Alter and Charles L. Biederman of Sunstone Hotels Investors LLC,the developer. The hotel already has booked a number of businesstravelers, Susan Stiff, spokeswoman for the hotel, tellsGlobeSt.com.

The hotel includes 7,100 sf of meeting space, a 3,000-sfballroom, three divisible meeting rooms, pre-function spaceoverlooking a courtyard, and an enclosed courtyard available forprivate functions. The hotel is adjacent to the Janus family ofmutual funds new world headquarters.

The hotel expects quite a bit of business from Janus andvisiting corporate executives on "road shows" who arrive inlimousines with hopes of getting Janus to invest in theircompanies, Alter tells GlobeSt.com. In addition, the hotel will bethe "one of choice" for people living in nearby expensiveneighborhoods when it comes to wedding reception and bar mitzvahs,according to Alter. The hotel is three miles southeast ofDowntown.
