ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL-Rollex Corp. has joined the wave of users opting to buy their own industrial space rather than lease it. The maker of vinyl and aluminum siding has paid $6.05 million for a 224,000-sf distribution building at 1501 Nicholas Blvd. in this northwest suburb’s mammoth Centex Industrial Park.

Rollex Corp. is expanding operations, and already has three other locations here. Patrick Mc Court and Michael Sedjo of CB Richard Ellis’ Schaumburg office represented ING Clarion Partners, seller of the property.

Meanwhile, Amusement Factory has paid $1.53 million, nearly $400,000 more than what it sold for in 2000, for a 27,285-sf building at 3020 Malmo in nearby Arlington Heights. The company is moving from nearby Des Plaines to the Elmhurst-Algonquin Industrial Park.

Paine/Wetzel · ONCOR International senior vice president Donald S. Jaffe, SIOR and vice president Robert J. Morandi represented Mueller Investments while Sedjo handled negotiations for Amusement Factory.
