Westcor owns the mostly vacant mall that it renamed as TwentyNinth Street and plans to redevelop it into an urban village. Thenew headquarters on Mitchell Lane will house about 275employees.

Wild Oats was worried that it would be unable to remain inBoulder. "We're delighted that the innovative Twenty Ninth Streetretail development will provide us with the opportunity to continueto call Boulder home," says Perry Odak, president and chiefexecutive officer of Wild Oats.

In addition, it plans to build a flagship store of at least35,000 sf on the site. The new Boulder store will be similar to astore it opened in Superior, along the US 36 corridor outside ofBoulder. "The development planned for Twenty Ninth Street gives usthe opportunity to build a state-of-the-art flagship store in ourhometown of Boulder," Odak says.
