MARIETTA, GA -The 25-year-old, 116,337-sf Syms Center in this Atlanta suburb is at 96% occupancy, thanks to a 36,000-sf, 10-year lease signed by WW Grainger Inc., a business-to-business supplier of facilities maintenance products based in Lake Forest, IL. The estimated $5-million lease brings the occupancy at the shopping center to 96%.

Tim Zay, vice president of Atlanta-based Spectrum Realty Advisors, negotiated the lease for Syms Corp., the Secaucus, NJ-based owner of the center. Jack Haden of NAI Brannen Goddard represented Grainger. “With its proximity to I-75, the Marietta Loop and I-285, Syms Center offers Grainger outstanding access to the company’s current and prospective customers in the Northwest Atlanta region,” Zay says.

Zay says Syms Center will serve as a retail and distribution hub for Grainger. Spectrum leases and manages nine million sf of retail, office and industrial properties for institutional and private investors.
