WHITE PLAINS, NY-Seven new lease deals have been signed at the White Plains Plaza office complex here totaling 61,406 sf of space, according to Cushman & Wakefield. The largest transaction was a new lease totaling 26,356 sf on the 15th floor at 445 Hamilton Ave. by law firm Keane & Beane. The firm is moving from approximately 10,000 sf of space it currently occupies at the plaza’s other high-rise tower building–One North Broadway.

Glenn Walsh, senior director, and Larry Ruggieri, associate, of Cushman & Wakefield, represented Metropolitan Life, the building owner of the White Plains Plaza complex that totals approximately 750,000 sf.

“Demand for quality office space at affordable prices is very strong in White Plains,” Walsh says. “White Plains Plaza is offering some of the most aggressive lease terms in Westchester County.”

Other lease deals reported by C&W, which is the exclusive leasing agent for the property, were: a 7,200-sf lease by Stark Business Solutions, which was represented by Goldschmidt & Associates, on the 11th floor at 445 Hamilton Ave.; the law firm Seham, Seham, Meltz and Petersen LLP, represented by Ambar Realty, leased 5,570 sf on the 12th floor of at 445 Hamilton and an unnamed local software company leased 10,500 sf on the 11th floor of 445 Hamilton Ave.

In addition, the law firm Himmelfarb & Sher, which was represented by Cushman & Wakefield, signed a lease renewal for 5,200 sf on the eighth floor at One North Broadway; law firm Cohen Timko & Moses, represented by C&W, expanded its presence at the building with a new lease for 3,560 sf on the fourth floor at One North Broadway and Ridgemour Holdings, also represented by Cushman, leased 3,020 sf on the fourth floor at One North Broadway. The real estate development company is relocating from offices at 75 South Broadway in White Plains.

The new lease transactions follow Lillian Vernon Corp.’s announcement in May that it will relocate its corporate headquarters from Rye to the White Plains Plaza property later this year. The catalog and online retailing firm signed a 12-year lease for 52,652 sf of space at 445 Hamilton Ave. The firm’s lease at 445 Hamilton Ave. entails the entire ninth and 10th floors of the 15-story building. Lillian Vernon’s lease also has options for an additional two floors at the building.
