LOS ANGELES-Younan Properties Inc. of Woodland Hills hired Quentin Thompson from Colliers Seeley as CFO as part of Younan’s previously reported plans to go public, and LA-based Bentley Forbes continued the expansion of its acquisition team by three new members in order to build the company’s portfolio.Thompson will be a member of the senior management team at Younan, where he will be responsible for all financial reporting, capital market transactions and investor relations for the growth of YPI’s commercial and hospitality divisions, according to Zaya S. Younan, chairman & CEO of the firm. Before Thompson was CFO for Colliers Seeley International, he served as vice president of finance for Westfield Corporation Inc., a subsidiary of the Westfield shopping center organization. His resume also includes posts at other real estate companies, including CFO at G&L Realty Corp., which specializes in the ownership and management of healthcare properties nationwide. The new execs at Bentley Forbes are Roger Ashcraft, EVP of acquisitions; Jason Dewey, VP of acquisitions; and Chad Lasdon, acquisitions manager. Bentley Forbes expects to add three more acquisitions personnel in the near future to further augment the team, according to David Cobb, president and CEO.Ashcraft is a 30-year industry veteran of various banking and investment banking firms, with a focus on financial institutions and commercial real estate. Among his previous positions were senior managing director of MortgageRamp, EVP of National Capital Holdings, VP of Raymond James & Associates, VP of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and VP of Drexel Burnham Lambert. Dewey formerly was a member of the acquisitions team at Commercial Net Lease Realty Inc., a real estate investment trust focusing on single tenant assets. He also has extensive experience in analyzing commercial real estate acquisitions, financing and dispositions.Lasdon, who joined Bentley Forbes in 2002 as a property analyst, previously was a research analyst at Sanli, Pastor & Hill Inc., a Los Angeles-based valuation firm.
