The company was approved for such in 2002 by township officials,company chief financial officer Kevin Gregory says. ProQuest needs175,000 sf to 200,000 sf overall, Gregory adds.

Transwestern Commercial Services currently manages the 777building for Transwestern Investment Co., having acquired thebuilding in the spring from the now-dissolved Great Lakes REIT.Additionally, ProQuest is exploring subleasing up to 10,000 sf inMAV Development's South State Commons II for a data center, sourcessay. That building, just north of the 777 building, is leased tothe Michigan Information Technology Center. The company'smanufacturing facilities would continue to be locatedelsewhere.

ProQuest had initially considered the 777 property early in itssearch for a new headquarters only before entertaining a move intothe newly constructed "connector" at Domino's Farms in thetownship. ProQuest is seeking tax breaks to move into the citydespite already leasing 80,000 sf at the Eisenhower CommerceCenter, southeast of the 777 building.
