Town Center Fitness will have a prime location on the secondfloor, just above the Red Star Tavern Terms of the exercisefacility's lease with property developer Armada/Hoffler have notbeen released, but retail space at the popular destination comes ata premium; acting on behalf of the developer, Divaris Real EstateInc. markets the retail space for $25 to $35 per-sf.

"Having a fitness center so centrally located within the TownCenter of Virginia Beach will enhance the workers' attitudes andmorale, which will add a new dimension to the employees' day,"notes Divaris chairman and CEO Gerald Divaris.

Other retailers who have signed on for occupancy at Town Centerinclude the Cheesecake Factory, which committed to a 12,000-sfspace under a 20-year lease, and sports entertainment store GalyansTrading Co., which occupies an 84,000-sf space.
