Carter paid $236,111 per acre, or $5.42 per sf, for the 1.8acres. A year ago Carter bought a 10-acre tract in the samelocation BMZ Partnership for $600,000 or $60,000 per acre ($1.38per sf). "Prices are going up everywhere," Carter says. "This is animportant parcel in our long-range plans."

He is assembling the dirt for a near-future development thathasn't been disclosed yet. The sellers of the 1.8-acre tract wereHarold W. and Betty Jean Carver, and Carl L. Thompson Jr. The twoparcels are located in the northeast quadrant of the intersectionof the Goldenrod Road Extension and Narcoosee Road (County Road15). Patrick Chisholm and Preston Hage with Maury L. CarterAssociates represented the buyer.

In a second unrelated acquisition, Carter, as trustee ofCarter-Titusville Land Trust, bought .47 acres for $320,000 inBrevard County, about 60 miles southeast of Downtown Orlando. Theproperty is on the north side of Garden Street, west of Interstate95 in Titusville. Laverne and Betty Cooper and Constance McAbeewere the sellers. Hage and Chisholm negotiated for the buyer.
