Designed by Boggs & Partners Architects Inc., theheadquarters building features an exterior glass staircase and anunderground parking structure to accommodate up to 700 vehicles.The structure was designed to reflect, symbolically, the importanceof Sallie Mae's mission.

"What the company does inside that building is enable sevenmillion students to go to college; it is such an incubator ofachievement for students in this country to succeed," Boggs &Partners' Joseph Boggs tells GlobeSt.com. "Our goal was to design abuilding that reflects in its architecture the diversity, outreachand inclusion that the company promotes."
