The multi-purpose Munchkin facility contains 17,000 sf ofcorporate offices and accommodate a move as well as an expansion ofthe company's baby product line, along with a new pet accessorydivision called Bamboo. The building was designed by HPA, Inc. andconstructed by Oltmans Construction Co. Phoenix-based Hewson, whichalso operates in Southern California, has also broken ground on anew Hollywood Social Security Administration building at 1122 VineSt.
The 19,530-sf office building will be a new location for thefederal agency, which is expected to take occupancy in November,when the long-term lease of the premises is set to commence. Hewsonserves as development manager for the build-to-suit project, withBig D Construction Co. handling construction and Wolcott Associatesas primary architect.
