Wessington Properties LLP will break ground in late spring tosplit the acreage at the crossroads of FM 544 and McCreary Road soit can develop a self-storage complex, set to deliver in the fall,and retail pad sites. The Dallas-based seller, Wylie RetailPartners LP, owned the land for five years, selling it for thegoing rate of $5 per sf to $7 per sf, Eric Berlin of VentureCommercial in Dallas tells GlobeSt.com. About 2.5 acres have beenearmarked for pad site development.

Berlin and Clay Mote, also with Venture Commercial, representedthe seller of the northeast corner of the intersection. StephenSummers of Dallas-based Staubach Co. negotiated on the buyer'sbehalf while Roemer/Haskins LC of Dallas worked out the developmententitlements.
