Anoka County's stadium plan would house the Vikings on a sitewest of Interstate Highway 35 and south of 109th Avenue Northeast.Hammes Co. is the developer working with Anoka County on theplan.

The two sides hope to agree to a finance plan. Anoka's proposalto Gov. Tim Pawlenty's Stadium Screening Committee was the mostcomprehensive Vikings proposal. The county board approved $240million in taxes for a stadium; the Vikings have talked aboutcommitting $150 million. That leaves a gap of more than $200million, which the state would be asked to help fill.

The partnership would be modeled on the Xcel Energy Center inwhich the City of St. Paul and the Minnesota Wild hockey teamworked together to successfully seek state aid.
