The Santa Anita expansion is only the second Hy-Style center toopen thus far in California, following the Oakridge Mall in SanJose, which added a new wing, more than 70 new retailers andapproximately 300,000 sf of new space. The Santa Anita and Oakridgeproperties are among only a few Hy-Styles in the country to becompleted, although Westfield has a number of others either inplanning or under consideration and says that all of its proposedprojects over the next three years will incorporate the Hy-Styleapproach.

The new shops and restaurants at the Santa Anita center join amix of 151 specialty stores, four department stores, and a foodcourt with 11 eateries at the original mall, which Hahn Developmentbuilt in 1974 and Westfield acquired in 1998.
