On the real estate scene, King's most visible achievement washis Centergy undertaking adjacent to the Tech campus at TechnologySquare. His joint-venture partner is Gateway Development ServicesInc. The University Financing Foundation Inc., a nonprofitKennesaw-based group affiliated with Georgia Tech, owns CentergyOne.

Not even six months old in March of this year, King's teamsigned the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism to a30,000-sf lease for an estimated 10 years at an estimated effectiverent of $6 million at the 210,000-sf Technology Square ResearchBuilding, as GlobeSt.com previously reported.

The Technology Square complex at Fifth and West Peachtreestreets is a $256-million investment being developed on a site thatwas formerly dotted with vacant lots and run-down warehousestructures. Also planning to relocate to the building is MEAG PowerCo., Georgia Power and Georgia EMC which also provides electricitythroughout Georgia.
