The new Auburn Hills fuel validation laboratory brings producttesting and validation closer to local development engineers andDetroit-based customers. It also allows Siemens VDO Automotive toconduct prototyping and testing at the same location, with accessto the company's Powertrain business unit's on-site garagefacilities for test vehicle preparation.

The fuel supply systems division continues to grow in the NorthAmerican market as more product development activities aretransferred from Germany to the US to support customer projects andinitiatives,company officials say. The fuel validation test centerbecomes the latestaddition to the division's extension offacilities in Troy, which includes application and designengineering and business development offices.

The Siemens VDO Automotive's fuel supply systems division wasoriginally established in North America in 1997 and has grown tobecome a global resource for North American fuel supply systemssolutions.
