BLOOMINGTON, MN-Cub Foods recently opened a 73,000-sf grocery,replacing an existing store in Applewood Pointe, a mixed-useproject being developed by United Properties at 84th Street andLyndale Avenue. The city has long had its eye on redeveloping the13 acres at 84th Street and Lyndale Avenue.

United Properties, a locally based commercial real estate firm,assembled the land, won city approvals and demolished a vacant100,000-sf former home improvement store building. In addition tothe 73,000-sf Cub Foods store, United will also build an 11,000-sfretail building for convenience stores such as a drug store, liquorstore, service center and TCF bank branch.
