WEST DES MOINES, IA-Jones Lang LaSalle was awarded the leasingassignments of three malls, two in New Mexico and one here,totaling more than two million sf. The deal brings the company'snumber of US malls and the retail portions of transportationcenters it manages to 52.Atlanta-based Gregory Greenfield &Associates owns the two New Mexico centers, Mesilla Valley Mall, inLas Cruces, and Villa Linda Mall, in Santa Fe. Dillard's, JCPenneyand Sears anchor the 572,600-sf Mesilla Valley. The same tenantsanchor the 569,500-sf Villa Linda, as well as Mervyn's.WatsonCenters, of Minneapolis, owns the local, 858,500-sf Valley WestMall. JCPenney, Von Mauer and Yonkers anchor that center, whichgets more than 12 million annual visitors.In April Jones Lang tookover the management of 16 regional malls from L&H Real EstateGroup in Chicago. Some of the best-known properties it managesinclude Grand Central Station in New York City and Union Station inWashington, DC.Globally Jones Lang, based in Chicago, manages about280 centers totaling 725 million sf on four continents. Its USportfolio is located in 22 states, including the District ofColumbia. Jones Lang manages centers in the US that are owned by 22clients.
