WASHINGTON, DC-Capitol City Plaza has a leasing team attached to it now that developer Carter Cafritz Development has tapped Spaulding & Slye Colliers to take on the task. The 340,000-sf office building will be a class A facility and is expected to reach completion in 2007. Spaulding & Slye’s Peter Connolly and Tom Golsen are presently marketing space at the 12-story tower for $45 per sf.

Located in the city’s northeast section at 77 K St., Capitol City Plaza will occupy a spot in the District’s NoMa Corridor, a section north of Massachusetts Ave. that is surrounded by the new Washington Convention Center, Union Station and New York Ave.

The area had long been home to vacant parcels and industrial structures before a recent spurt of development activity. “This building represents a great opportunity for an organization that wants close proximity to the US Capitol and Downtown Washington, DC,” Connolly says.
