The new Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms headquarters sits nearby,and a handful of multifamily developers have made plans to build inthe area, as well. The existing building was originally developedin 1939 and was once home to the Woodies department storewarehouse. Tishman has a history with the facility, too. "Tishmandid the original conversion of this building from a warehouse to atechnology facility and as a result we know every inch of thisstructure, and are in an ideal position to make recommendations andexecute the construction," notes company senior vice presidentJames M. Scarpace.
