ORANGE, CT-A national restaurant supply firm will be housing its distribution operations at 181 Marsh Hill Rd. here. Restaurant Depot, signed a long-term lease for approximately one-third of the building.The 65,000-sf lease deal was reported by CB Richard Ellis, which represented Restaurant Depot and the building owner in the transaction. Sean Cahill and Michael Dillon of CB CBRE’s Stamford office negotiated the 15-year lease on behalf of the tenant. Tim Fegan and Matt O’Hare of CBRE’s New Haven office represented the building’s owner, Winstanley Enterprises LLC.Orange First Selectman Mitch Goldblatt says of the deal, “This transaction is exciting news for the Town of Orange. On behalf of our whole community, we are very pleased to see this property back in use after a long period of vacancy. We hope that Restaurant Depot’s presence will attract other major tenants to the building, bringing it to full occupancy quite soon.” Restaurant Depot is the first tenant to sign a long-term deal at the property. There is currently approximately 96,000 sf of vacant industrial space available at the property. The 181 Marsh Hill Rd. building totals 161,000 sf and is located off exit 41 of Interstate 95. A CBRE official says that Restaurant Depot hopes to open its new warehouse operations in Orange, which will service the greater New Haven/Bridgeport marketplace, by spring 2005.
