Oriental Crest Trading, marking its eighth expansion in thedevelopment, signed a long-term lease for 10,000 sf at 6161 SavoyDr., the 233,000-sf, 12-story Wells Fargo Tower. Currently, theimport company leases about 8,000 sf at 6200 Savoy Dr.

"We couldn't accommodate the expansion in 6200 Savoy so OrientalTrading moved across the street," says Charles Scoville, a seniorvice president with Grubb & Ellis Co. in Houston, who handlesthe leasing for Unilev Management Corp. Oriental Crest Trading wasrepresented by Tim Crockett, senior vice president, and LewFaraclas, associate, with Henry S. Miller Commercial's Houstonoffice.

Crockett tells GlobeSt.com that Oriental Trading's move isbetter than staying in the same space. "They are able toreconfigure all their space to meet their current needs," he says."They can do a fresh, efficient design and layout." OrientalTrading will move into its new space in February 2005 after thefinish out is completed by Houston-based contractor IGC.
