The marine communications technology company signed a five-yearlease for 9,800 sf of first-floor office space in a two-story,class B office building at 3657 Briarpark Dr., which is owned andoccupied by Houston-based Triten Corp., which remanufactures pumpparts for the oil and gas industry. "This was a unique opportunityfor Remote Knowledge because there's only one other tenant in thebuilding--it will be personal for them," says Pete Wittorf, seniorassociate for Houston-based Transwestern Commercial Services, whopartnered with Jared Andresen to represent the tenant. Greg Tilton, also with Transwestern, represented the building owner.

Wittorf tells GlobeSt.com that Remote Knowledge looked all overthe Westchase area for a building that would suit its needs. Hesays the company was attracted to 3657 Briarpark Dr. because the39,673-sf building offered an auditorium for presentations and anon-site exercise facility. Moreover, Remote Knowledge receivedrights to a building sign as part of the deal.

Built in 1980, 3657 Briarpark Dr. is now almost 100% leased,Wittorf says. It leases for $16 per sf. Remote Knowledge, which wasin a month-to-month lease situation, will move in February from16360 Park Ten Blvd.
