BROOKLYN, MI-Michigan’s largest racetrack is set to undergo the largest renovation in the track’s 37-year history. The renovation at Michigan International Speedway will include new ticket gates, new vendor and display areas and new concession stands.

A new suite and club structure will be built above the main grandstand near the finish line and will hold 16 suites, a press box, a section of Champions Club seats and other amenities. MIS says the project will be done in time for the Nascar Nextel Cup Series event at MIS June 17-19.

MIS is owned by Daytona Beach, FL-based International Speedway Corp., which is not disclosing project costs.
