The Michigan Department of Management and Budget had originallyawarded the sale to the Boji Group L.L.C., which had bid $12.5million for the 620,000-sf building. Boji decided it would notproceed with thepurchase. Danou had made his bid during an openbidding.
The Executive Plaza is mostly vacant now; state employees whoworked in the building have been relocated to the former GeneralMotors Corp. world headquarters in the New Center area.
A due-diligence period for the sale ends Feb. 28, although Danoucan purchase an additional 60 days for $50,000. The state expectsto close the transaction no later than May 20.
