The financial details of Danya's lease with property ownerAtlantic Realty, which acquired the building in 2000 for $14.1million, have not been disclosed. Atlantic's Carl B. Taylorrepresented the ownership, while the Ezra Co.'s Glenn Meltzer andTodd Sherbacow stood in for the tenant.
Located off Rte. 97, the 12-story building at 8737 ColesvilleRd. was developed in 1987. Danya's lease, and recent commitments tospace by other companies--including the Koba Institute, and firmsDietzel, Butler & Associates LLC and Cortina &Lenkerd--have left the property fully occupied. "Business leadersrecognize that downtown Silver Spring is now a vibrant, dynamicmarket that offers a great location and excellent value," saysAtlantic Realty partner David A. Ross. "Vacancy is fast approaching8%, down from 18% in 2002, as more tenants become aware of theleasing opportunities Silver Spring offers."
