BROOKLYN, NY-More than 113,000 sf of new leases or renewals areinked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Twenty-six small businesses tookspace at the city's largest, single-landlord industrial park.Managed by the nonprofit Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp., the300-acre site has approximately 3.5 million sf of space.

"The Brooklyn Navy Yard is one of the few locations in New YorkCity that can provide small industrial businesses with ample spaceand opportunities to flourish," explains Andrew Kimball, BNYDCpresident. He adds that investments in the area promote job growthand business expansion. "Significantly, approximately half of theworkers employed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard are residents ofBrooklyn."
