PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA-Columbia, MD-headquartered USFoodservice has revealed that it will add 50,000 sf of warehouseand office space to its 220,000-sf distribution center just outsidethe City of Manassas on Livingston Road. The company, whichsupplies food products to restaurants and other foodserviceconcerns, will spend $7.5 million to facilitate the expansion.

The effort is expected to bring 60 new jobs to the area. Earlierthis year, parent company Ahold announced cutbacks at a USFoodservice distribution center Connecticut. "With the excellentaccess to the Mid-Atlantic region that Prince William Countyoffers, and the demand for greater distribution needs, thisexpansion will enable us to keep up with market demands," USFoodservice president Bill Nashwinter says.
