Southern California is one of the most active development sitesin the country for Walgreens and Evergreen. The Phoenix-basedcompany has 50 stores under development for Walgreens, with 16 ofthem in the Southland.
Evergreen built its first location for the Deerfield, IL-baseddrug store chain in 1988 in Mesa, AZ. Two years later, Evergreendeveloped one of the first free-standing Walgreens in the nation inMesa.
