RAYNHAM, MA-The owner of a waste management firm has filed plansto develop a 400-ton per day transfer station at theRaynham-Taunton Greyhound Park. This comes just weeks after thetown rejected his plans for a larger facility.
Christopher Carney, owner of American Waste Services whosefamily also owns and operates the 200-acre dog racing track, sayshe will also appeal the town's decision to limit the transferstation's size in Superior Court. Carney originally wanted to builda 1,000-ton per day facility.
