Jameson House will have retail and restaurants on the bottomthree floors topped by eight floors (77,000 sf) of office space and25 floors of for-sale residential units. Homeowner amenities willinclude 24-hour concierge service and a touch-screen panel forcentral home control of the entertainment, lighting, heating andsecurity system in the home.

Jameson Development Corp. first submitted the project to theVancouver Planning Department in October 2004. City officialsapproved the project in July 2005. Designed to a LEED Goldstandard, the building will generate its own power and have a waterrecycling system. In addition to a co-generation plant powered bybio-diesel, photovoltaic cells will be employed on the southfacade.

Jameson House also will house North America's first fullyautomated non-pallet car park. A 40-year-old technology widely usedin Europe wherein users pull into the secure transfer station, lockthe vehicle and with the swipe of a card activate the system. Amechanized shuttle then parks the car in the underground parkade.When the owner is ready to depart, it will take an estimated 90seconds to retrieve the car.
