BOCA RATON, FL-Woolbright Development has named Erick Collazo, along-time Mills Corp. executive, director of development.Arlington, VA-based Mills, which is underinvestigation by the SEC for accounting flaws, is scaling backoperations in Florida and elsewhere and re-mortgaging SawgrassMills and other significant assets. Meanwhile, locally basedWoolbright is rapidly expanding throughout Florida.
Over the past 15 years, Collazo held several top posts withMills, most recently as group VP of the domestic Southern regionwhere he was responsible for the redevelopment of 14 Millsproperties. Prior to that, he directed the company's $380-millionXanadu in Madrid, and, as VP and development director was alsoresponsible for a $250-million mall project in Atlanta.
