LOS ANGELES-The Grand Avenue Committee and the Related Cos. haveunveiled architect Frank Gehry's design for a 1.2-million-sfmixed-use project that would be the first phase of the $1.8 billionGrand Avenue project in Downtown L.A. The design envisions aneighborhood that would occupy a full city block of three acrescomprising a world-class hotel, residences, retail, restaurants andpublic amenities directly across the street from the Walt DisneyConcert Hall, which Gehry designed.
