Prior to Grubb Properties, Harris worked in both corporatefinance and operating capacities for the St. Joe Co. ofJacksonville, FL. Senkbeil says Harris is credited with "playing acentral role in transforming the Florida-based corporation from anindustrial conglomerate into a diversified real estate operatingcompany." Harris began his career as chief financial officer forEast West Partners, a Chapel Hill-based developer of master-plannedcommunities.

The new Post Properties executive is a member of the Urban LandInstitute and is active in both the Urban Development/Mixed-UseCouncil and the Charlotte District Council. He has a degree inbusiness administration from Wake Forest University and a master ofbusiness administration degree with a concentration in real estatefrom the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University ofNorth Carolina at Chapel Hill.
