As owner's rep, Mast is responsible for coordinating activitiesbetween private entities and the public sector, managingacquisitions and condemnations and keeping the various componentson time and on budget. "This project will truly transform the faceof Newark," says Mast president Ted Domuracki, who's heading theproject team with vice president Richard A. Brown and projectmanager Jim Napolitano.
The Devils' arena complex, which will also host entertainment,convention and other events, will include a 300-room hotel. Thelarger redevelopment project's components will include officespace, a retail complex, a 40-story residential tower, severalparking structures and public plazas. Station Plaza Newark DowntownCore Urban Renewal Co. LLC and Lafayette Broad LLC are theredevelopers, working under the aegis of the NDCRC.
