Summerlin Centre is located northeast of the intersection of the215 Beltway and Sahara Avenue, about 12 miles from the Las VegasStrip. The 100-acre community hub will combine the retail shopping,dining, office space, hotel and condominium residences surroundinga series of public plazas. An adjoining 300 acres that alreadyincludes the new Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa will consistprimarily of residential development.

Construction of Summerlin Centre's 100-acre community hub willget under way in the spring. Fall 2008 is when the firstdevelopments are expected to open, but the project won't be builtout for another 10 years after that.

"Our master plan will remain a living document, always subjectto review and amendment as phases are complete and we learn moreabout features that work," says GGP chief executive John Bucksbaum."Any of these buildings could succeed on their own, but theirsuccess will be vastly greater because they are conceived and builtwith attention to the larger place they create collectively."
