ANAHEIM, CA-Master planner Lennar has started construction onthe first phase of its 54-acre A-Town combination of more than3,800 housing units and 200,000 sf of commercial and retail spacein the Platinum Triangle. The development will include 14residential multifamily towers of up to 38 stories.
Designed to be transit-oriented and pedestrian-friendly, theA-Town development is part of an economic revitalization zoneplanned to replace the aging industrial buildings adjacent to AngelStadium and other city landmarks, notes Richard Knowland, SVP ofLennar. The two parcels of A-Town are generally bounded by Katellaand Orangewood avenues, the I-5 Freeway and portions of StateCollege Boulevard and and Angel Stadium.
