Fred Arena, former Northeast regional director of commercialreal estate for the Irving, TX-based Archon Group, will overseeAFR's 30-person asset management team. A spokesperson for Archontells GlobeSt.com the company is closing its regional office inChatham, NJ.

Arena brings 21 years of experience in managing both private andpublic companies' real estate portfolios to his AFR post. Prior toworking at Archon, he was senior vice president of asset managementand general manager of the Parsippany, NJ-based SJP Properties,heading a team that oversaw 4.5 million sf of commercial space.Dave Nettina, AFR's chief financial and real estate officer, saysArena "will play an influential role in AFR's ongoing efforts tomaximize asset value."

Carol Mellon will be responsible for sales in HHM's New Jerseyand Philadelphia markets, and Marie Pennington-Buonanno will coverthe Connecticut and Massachusetts markets. In a statement, CraigStechman, VP of sales and marketing, says each "will spearhead andaugment our existing sales efforts in an important cluster forHHM."
