BOCA RATON, FL-In what is proving to be a busy year forWoolbright Development, the real estate investment firm has namedRobert Powell senior development director. The move comes justmonths after Woolbright aired plans for its first ground-updevelopment, Collection at Vanderbilt, as GlobeSt.com previouslyreported.

Powell joins the retail company from the Powell Co., anadvisory, development and brokerage firm in Atlanta where he servedas president. The 138-acre, mixed-use Atlantic Station was one ofseveral retail projects he helped spearhead, according toWoolbright. Powell also has first-hand knowledge of the Floridaretail market; early in his career Powell was Southeast Floridaregional manager with Faison & Associates, a Charlotte-baseddevelopment, leasing and management firm. There he was responsiblefor opening the company's Southeast Florida regional office andhelped redevelop and reposition Colonial Palms Plaza in Miami.
