NAPERVILLE, IL-Systemax Inc., a direct marketer of brand-nameand private-label computer products, is expanding its 240,000-sfdistribution center at 175 Ambassador Dr. by 112,343 sf. Theexpansion, which is slated for a September completion, represents a47% increase in space.
In order to accommodate the growing needs of the firm'soperations, plans include 90,000 sf of new warehouse space, a14,384-sf mezzanine to accommodate an automated conveyer system and8,000 sf of new office space. An additional warehouse entrance andeight truck docks will expand the firm's shipping operations.
