The new A-Check facility is a 12,000-sf building that is underconstruction at the 56-acre University Research Park. A-Check VPCarlos Lacambra says the company chose the new site because of thestrong technology base at the project and the incentives offered bythe City of Riverside.

The city provides low-cost electrical power through itsmunicipal utility and is assisting with A-Check's work forcerecruitment and development. Lacambra says that A-Check also chosethe new location for a variety of other factors, including theproximity of the University of California at Riverside and rentalrates below those at comparable facilities in Los Angeles andOrange counties.

In addition to performing background and drug checks, A-CheckAmerica develops software designed to obtain, store and reportinformation. The new facility in Riverside will serve as a centerfor research and development for A-Check in addition to serving asits headquarters.
