The law firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr inked thedeal at the 291,000-sf, 11-story office building in the heart ofBoston's Financial District with building owner TranswesternInvestment Co. Terms of that transaction were not disclosed.

"The space at the Broad Street location is an excellent way forus to expand case room needs close to our 60 State St. offices in acompetitive commercial real estate market," Joel Sirkin, partnerand chair of the Real Estate Department at WilmerHale, says in astatement announcing the lease signing.

The firm plans to retain its Boston headquarters at 60 State St.and use the 40 Broad St. office space solely for case rooms. BillBarrack and Bill Collins, both with Jones Lang LaSalle's Bostonoffice, handled the transaction on behalf of WilmerHale. BradMcGill, also with Jones Lang LaSalle, represented the building'sowner.
