The focus of Schmerler's practice is securing financing ofmulti-state commercial real estate projects for life companies,banks and conduit lenders for securitization. She has experiencewith acquisitions and sales of commercial real estate projects forREITs, life companies, pension funds, real estate advisors andother institutional and entrepreneurial investors. She also handlesacquisition, sale, development and financing transactions involvingowned and leased real estate for non-real estate companies. Schmerler received a jurist doctorate from Temple UniversitySchool of Law, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University ofPennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Artsdegree from the University of Pennsylvania's Faculty of Arts &Sciences. She is a member of the Georgia State Bar Association'sReal Estate Section, the Atlanta Bar Association, the CommercialMortgage Securities Association, the Mortgage Bankers Associationand the National Association of Industrial OfficeProfessionals.
